All Youth BBQ Fundraiser: Sunday, May 17 @ 12 PM

Every Spring the Youth Ministry of SAPC hosts a massive BBQ fundraiser on the front lawn complete with a bounce house, bake sale, t-shirts, games and crafts for the kids, and a whole lot of food. The BBQ brisket, ribs, and sausage are prepared by a few of our own skilled members. It’s loads of fun and open to the whole church. All the proceeds go towards the youth ministry of SAPC, specially helping fund mission opportunities and trips.

All Youth Ski Trip: December 26-31, 2009

We’re going to Keystone this year! The consensus seems to be to do a post-Christmas ski trip, so that’s what we’re doing. Since we can’t go to Breckenridge after Christmas (too costly, difficult hotel agreement, etc.), we’re going to the next best place: Keystone Lodge (www.keystone.snow.com). There are three villages full of shops and restaurants near the hotel, an outdoor ice rink, night skiing, and other activities. This trip is one of the highlights of the year and is open to all middle school and senior high students (and their parents). We’ll be skiing/snowboarding three full days on the mountain, sleeping in nice hotel rooms, eating good food, and enjoying fun times with each other in the mountains. Specific cost and travel details to come early Fall.
 INITIAL SIGN-UP BY SEPTEMBER 16!

Spend Sunday nights at CREW, 7:30 – 8:30!

Senior High Summer Mission Trip to Cortez, CO: June 6 – 13

This year, the Senior High students will venture to serve the people of Cortez, Colorado. Senior High Backpacking Trip: July 16 – 24

Join your senior high friends on a 20-mile journey through the majestic Weminuche Wilderness in Colorado! This is a long-standing SAPC tradition and awesome experience in minimum impact camping. Everything we carry in, we carry out. We camp under the stars, eat bad food, get in some fishing, and enjoy each other’s company. IT WILL ROCK YOUR WORLD!! Space is limited for this trip, so talk to Brandon if you’re interested.

Spend Wednesday nights at element, 6:00–7:30!

element Night Out: Friday, April 17, 6:00 – 10:00 PM

Every now and then we’ll spend a Friday night out with friends playing whirly ball, racing go-karts, whacking each other with broom-ball sticks, or some other fun activity. Watch your mail for details about the next element Night Out on April 17th!

Confirmation Sunday: Sunday, May 31

This is the day we honor and celebrate our 8th grade confirmation students for the hard work, time, energy, and commitment they’ve put into the process of being confirmed in the Presbyterian Church (USA). Each student will have prepared and presented a faith statement before the Session in April, and then they are confirmed in the 10:50 worship service on May 31st, with their mentors standing alongside them in support,
